Jonathan Horwitz M.D., F.A.A.P. |
Dr. Horwitz joined the practice in 1975. He graduated from the University of Cape Town Medical
School and did his residency in Pediatrics at the Long Island Jewish Hospital, New York, followed
by a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Pediatrics
and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Horwitz is an Assistant Clinical Professor
of Pediatrics at Cornell University and recently retired after 25 years as a Pediatric Consultant to
New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services. He is also a Pediatric Attending at the North
Shore-LIJ Health System. In his spare time, he is a silversmith and silver jeweler who has been exhibited in
galleries in SOHO, South Africa and Australia. He is also a joyful baby sitter to two very active grandchildren.

Julia Oster M.D., F.A.A.P.
|
Dr. Oster joined Bayside Pediatric Specialists in 1995. She graduated from the University of Kharkov and
specialized in Pediatric Neurology. She did her residency at the Nassau County Medical Center, New York.
She is Board Certified by The American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Oster is also a Pediatric Attending at the North Shore-LIJ Health System. She is married, the mother of two
children and the proud owner of an extremely playful Boxer named Bugsy.

Grace Nunez Russotto M.D., F.A.A.P.
|
Dr Nunez joined Bayside Pediatric Specialists in 1998. She graduated from Fordham University in 1988 with a
degree in Biology and earned her M.D. from Mount Sinai Medical School, New York. She did her post graduate
Pediatric training at North Shore University Hospital and was Chief Resident in her final year. She is Board
Certified by The American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Nunez
is also a Pediatric Attending at the North Shore-LIJ Health System. She is married and the mother of two young
children. In her spare time, she enjoys her children and their various sporting activities. She also loves
to read and play the piano.

Matt Allman M.P.A.S., F.A.A.P.A.
|
Matt joined Bayside Pediatric Specialists in 2009. He completed his undergraduate work at Texas A&M
University and his graduate degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
Matt is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He worked four
years in Tennessee with a pediatric hospitalists group. Matt spent the year before joining our
practice sailing around the world with his wife. When not in our office, he can be found at the
Juilliard School providing medical care to aspiring artists. Matt and his wife reside in Manhattan
at the St. Thomas Choir School, where they serve as house parents to 40 boys and as the proud parents of their new baby girl.
